My work is a quest for shapes, and two particular shapes form the basis of this exploration: triangles and curves, acting alone or together. The conversion of my emotions takes the form of an abstract piece. Abstraction pulls us out of our usual thinking patterns, placing us in situations where our capacity to recognise things is of no use. We must rely solely on our personal experience and perceptions, letting go and rediscovering primary feelings or, quite simply, emotions.
True creation, for me, means venturing beyond mere imitation of what stands right before us. Our perception capabilities are far more advanced than we think. But this requires attentiveness and to feel free to observe artwork as it is, in order to take in the thoughts triggered by our own life journeys, creating a brief moment of truth.
